What happens in the painting studio

Drawing & Painting Open Studio runs on Thursday afternoons with Diana Rell Dean as the regular instructor. Sherri Scott, Suella McMillan and Betty Poindexter join the program occasionally. The long table is laid out before you arrive. The easels are standing, and the students' work hangs on every wall of the room. If you have never drawn, sit down, say so, and Diana will put paper and pencil in front of you and give you something to draw. Diana Rell Dean's Life Drawing class follows right after Open Studio.

Life Drawing is a free session for those who have attended Open Studio that day. Diana teaches this class. A dressed model holds a pose while you work. Drawing a person who is there in the room with you is different from drawing from a photograph. If you would rather stay with your own piece, do that. Otherwise, stay for the Life Drawing. It is a wonderful way to hone your skills.

Diana Rell Dean is the regular instructor. Sherri Scott, Suella McMillan and Betty Poindexter join the program occasionally; the schedule names the instructor for each date.
